Six Lochs Tour of Wester Ross

Wester Ross actually has a huge range of lochs from sea lochs such as Loch Torridon to the many hundreds of smaller lochs (often referred to as “lochans”) that cover our inland areas. However, there are arguably 6 main lochs – South to North, these are Loch Carron – Loch Torridon – Loch Maree – Loch Gairloch – Loch Ewe – and Loch Broom. Some of those Lochs have tributary lochs spilling directly from them, such as Loch Diabaig, Loch Shieldaig, and Little Loch Broom, but ALL are a spectacular and highly photogenic mix of islands, mountains, and seacapes. Prepare for a feast of scenery!
